Meridian Crew Members

History

Meridian Crew is a now defunct grime crew whose members came mainly from the Meridian Estate in Tottenham, North London. The crew were most active during the days of Deja Vu 92.3FM, when they appeared weekly on Mondays. The sets often featured East Connection. Many of the crew members made their name on North London pirate radio stations (e.g. Heat FM), when they were relatively young. The crew were known for their "road" bars, many of which were "straight greaze", particularly from MCs Big H, Pablo, President T and Skepta. The group have also been associated with some controversy, with the crew sharing several prison records between them, as well as multiple members of the crew being charged, or associated with, the attempted murder of Douglas Mullings, following an incident on Meridian Walk in Tottenham. However, in recent times the crew have drifted apart, with JME and Skepta taking music more seriously and forming their own record label "Boy Better Know"; Big H, Paper Pablo, Bossman and President T having formed their own organisation "Bloodline Music Group" but still juggling music with other commitments and the other members falling away from the music scene for various reasons.

Meridian Crew Today

The crew are no longer together as a music collective, with the Adenuga brothers Skepta (Meridian MC & Dj) and JME (MC) stealing Big H's catchphrase of "Boy Better Know" to form a successful grime record label and have since released 4 mixtapes and an album between then. The pair have also since moved away from the Meridian Estate to Pea Town (Palmers Green, N13).

President T, Big H, Paper Pabs & Bossman have formed the gangster grime & rap collective "Bloodline" along with fast paced North London MC, 9 Milli Major, and have released a promotional mixtape with SK Vibemakers. However, these MCs have been making less and less music due to other commitments and grime fans worry that the talents of these MCs may be wasted.

Dan is currently a member of the Fire Service.

President T remains affiliated with both Boy Better Know and Bloodline, and has just released his long-awaited mixtape Back Inna My Face on FREE download.

Bloodline have released one mixtape, entitled Bloodline Music, as part of an "SK Vibemakers Presents..." CD feature.


Contrary to a few grime cats' speculations, Bloodline are working hard on several forthcoming projects including a highly anticipated Bloodline album. Also keep your eyes peeled for Big H's "Street Crime CD" & Bossman Birdie's "Bars To Kill CD" coming soon...
